Here are a couple views of the crowds for the kickoff event; looking toward the Lincoln Memorial toward the stage, just above; at top looking behind at the Washington Monument. No crowd estimate yet so hard to tell if they actually packed in a half million as predicted. When you're in the middle of it, mainly it's just a sea of people with no way to judge.
